What we’re looking for are people who are ready to be part of the on-farm leadership team, taking full responsibility when the Manager is away.  This means you’ll already be good with people, know the basics of feeding cows for performance and be interested in how a successful business runs.

You’ll be someone who’s learned from experience already what it takes to be a good farmer or you may be a graduate with a strong dairy background, either way you’ll be keen to apply your knowledge in a business where performance counts alongside being a good corporate and community citizen.

BEL Group Manager’s assistants get to participate in BEL Group’s structured manager development programme from which most of the business’ new manager’s are selected each year, and on a regular basis are involved in financial budgeting discussions, on-farm management decisions and leading the team…we don’t know of many 2IC roles in NZ that can match that!
